The IAHR congresses are the largest European meetings of water scientists and engineers. IAHR 2020 was held under the theme “Hydro-Environment Research and Engineering. No Frames, No Borders”. Its organizers are: Polish Academy of Sciences, the Warsaw School of Rural Economy and the Institute of Geophysics of the Polish Academy of Sciences. Due to the ongoing pandemic, the conference was held online, gathering more than 500 participants from dozens of countries in front of computer and phone screens. An additional challenge was to conduct broadcasts from 4 different locations, Warsaw, Vienna, Brussels and Berlin.
